Hunter Biden Sued by Law Firm Over $50,000 of Unpaid Legal Fees

Hunter has outstanding bills? I’m totally shocked!

If I weren’t on vacation, I would have caught this in my “Hunter Biden”. Google alerts!

Winston & Strawn LLP has sued Hunter Biden over $50,000 of unpaid legal fees.

The law firm filed the lawsuit in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.

From The New York Post:

Hunter Biden owes the law firm that represented him in federal investigations, including his Delaware gun case, “substantially in excess of $50,000,” according to a lawsuit filed against the former first son on Monday.

“This is breach of contract action against Mr. Biden for unpaid legal fees,” reads the complaint against Hunter filed in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia by Winston & Strawn LLP.

The lawsuit notes that Hunter, 55, hired Winston & Strawn “to represent him in several complex matters, including criminal trial in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware,” and that the firm provided him “with extensive legal services in those matters which generated a substantial amount of fees.”

You mean the guy who did not pay over $1 million in taxes has avoided the numerous efforts from Winston & Strawn to collect the money?

I’m totally shocked:

“Although a portion of those fees have been paid, Mr. Biden presently owes [Winston & Strawn] substantially in excess of $50,000 in fees and interest that are due and payable,” the complaint stated.

“Despite repeated requests for payment, Mr. Biden has failed to pay the amounts he owes.

“This action is brought to enforce [Winston and Strawn’s] contract rights against Mr. Biden through judgment for the amount due, and lien on all Mr. Biden’s assets.”

The lawsuit includes a copy of the “engagement contract” Hunter signed on Dec. 23, 2022, for Winston & Strawn to represent him “with respect to any congressional oversight and investigation events in which you are involved, help your coordinate the work of other attorneys, advisors, related parties on pending issues and communications strategy, and assist in the investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice and US Attorney for the District of Delaware.”

The Washington Free Beacon noted that Hollywood Kevin Morris told Congress in 2024 that he paid many attorneys on behalf of Hunter.

But just before Hunter’s gun trial last May, “Morris reportedly told associates he was ‘completely tapped out’ from footing the bill for millions in legal expenses for years.”

Where is the money, Hunter? The former first son got over $1 million for his “art.”

Does Brandon’s blanket pardon protect him in civil cases? I would think not. In any case you took the case because of his access, you reap the rewards. Congrats. You played yourself.

Maybe if you asked for payment in paintings, blow, or hookers he could accommodate you.

If Hunter was a nobody, the law firm would have insisted on the bill being paid in full each month.

fwiw – I am a cpa and the general consensus in both the legal professional, medical field and the accounting field is that you never sue for unpaid fees due to the risk of counter suit for malpractice. The legal fees associated with defending a malpractice claim almost always exceed the unpaid fees

Malpractice insurance in invaluable in protecting against bogus counterclaims by deadbeat clients. The cost of an expert witness usually will not be fronted by malpractice lawyers; nor will they handle a case on a pure contingency basis unless it’s pretty strong. That being said, a savvy deadbeat client can extract a lot of free work from lawyers, especially in litigation, because the lawyers are encumbered by ethics rules that make it difficult for them to be relieved as counsel for non-payment.

Told him he should have arranged his “art warehouse” fire the night of the debate. But, as the Navy Joan Roberts case proved, timing was never one of Hunter’s strong points.

“Kevin Morris, a Hollywood entertainment lawyer who has loaned millions to the president’s son, has told associates he is tapped out…”

Come on, cuck, it’s your duty to put on the gimp suit and pay this, too.
Maybe next time you’ll stop to wonder what forced your hero to sober up in the first place.

This is hilarious. $50,000 is nothing in legal bills. Hunter, or more likely his benefactors, have paid millions to slow walk and pressure on his behalf. Why the firm just doesn’t eat this is a mystery. Maybe one of the partners wants to renovate his home’s half bath.

I thought he was a shrewd business with connections. This make it sound like he was nothing but a conartist selling access. The propaganda machine would never lie like that. Sarc

There is something unseemly about a law firm that made hundreds of thousands dollars sueing a client they knew was a crook the entire time.

Winston & Strawn LLP’s unpaid fees should be recognized as a political donation to the DNC.

This is one of two things:
1. An honest attempt at recovering money from a deadbeat client with millions of dollars hidden away in shell companies and bogus transactions that can be clawed back once uncovered in discovery, in the hopes that he will cough up the cash rather than see a roter-rooter go through his records and expose crimes he did not get pardoned for.
2. A shell case, pursued weakly and eventually settled for a tiny fraction that can be written off as a loss, or as it might be more accurately described, a cover for a million+ bucks worth of legal aid given to the Biden administration as a bribe for millions/billions in legal jobs funneled to the law firm in Biden 2 – The Next Term He’s More Senile And Will Sign Anything In Front Of Him.

He’s a crook, and a deadbeat. And this loser was advising the worst POTUS this country has ever suffered through.

To me the reason behind this case seems obvious.

Let’s say you are a major law firm who backed the wrong horse in the last election. Let’s go as far as saying you defended the losing former president’s deadbeat bum of a son in court. You now note that the current president who has revoked the security clearances of lawyers who supported actions against him. You’ve got s problem. A BIG problem.

Hmmm Is there ANY way you could publicly signal that you have seen the error of your ways and have now changed sides to join the party in power to support the Good Guys?

Say… what if we billed Hunter Biden for unpaid bills!

Pop out another one of those CCP investment grade diamonds. Sanitize it like a carefully concealed wristwatch of movie fame. Bring it to the pawn shop. Pay up!

What could be better than the sleazy lawyers who kept him out of jail are now being stiffed by the deadbeat himself. Karma – thank you.
